Collage and Paint

A couple of new mixed media pieces, all 5x7'' or smaller.
They experiment with the abstraction of the figure through mixed media (paint, pencil, paper, ink), in order to portray the subject with minimal suggestion and color.

The Return, white oil painted over an old and yellowed photograph.

The absence of a figure can still create one in your mind.  

Using pencil over stripes and smeared paint to find the portrait which I couldn't help from seeing.
